PATRIK BABIC
Patrik Babic (b. 1993, Czechia) is a self-taught painter and tattooer. His practice is grounded in making: the image is built through process rather than illustration, and the surface keeps the trace of each decision.
He often works on raw linen with a restricted set of materials kept visible. Stain meets weave, a held line sits beside a scuff, and quiet shifts of tone hold the field. The surface stays open so its construction remains part of what is shown.
The results do not resolve into narrative but occupy a space between symbol, abstraction, and minimal sign. The same clarity carries into his tattoo practice, where decisions stay pared and placement is measured, keeping presence grounded in how the work is made rather than in external reference.
