ANNA USTREHOVA
Anna Ustrehova (b. 1987, Pskov, USSR) is a Berlin-based visual artist and tattooist whose practice includes drawing, mixed media, and tattooing. She graduated in 2011 with a Master of Fine Arts from the St. Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design, where she studied classical techniques in art and design.
Since 2013, Ustrehova has developed a unique approach to tattooing that reflects her wider artistic interests. Her work, whether on paper or skin, brings together fine linework, botanical elements, and abstract forms, balancing control with spontaneity. Influenced by everyday experience, she describes her process as intuitive and shaped by what she calls controlled chaos.
Living in Berlin since 2019, she continues to build a multidisciplinary practice. Using graphite, ink, and skin as her main materials, Ustrehova embraces imperfection as a key part of creation.
